World Economic Forum Global Future Councils Dubai

Dr. Iravani will participate in the Meeting of the Global Future Councils Dubai, United Arab Emirates 11-12 November.

The World Economic Forum’s Global Future Councils are the world’s foremost interdisciplinary knowledge network dedicated to promoting innovative thinking to shape a sustainable and inclusive future for all. The network convenes more than 700 of the most relevant and knowledgeable thought leaders from academia, government, business, and civil society, grouped in expertise-based, thematic councils. It is an invitation-only community, and members are nominated for a one-year period.

Trust building in Iraq: Current Challenges and Opportunities

This conference will take place in Istanbul, 8-10 December. It will be organized by the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), in conjunction with the Al-Kalima Center for Dialogue and Cooperation (Najaf), and the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Islam (Washington, DC)

Annual National Prayer Breakfast

Dr. Iravani will be attending the 67th Annual National Prayer Breakfast, in Washington, D.C. (Feb 2019). Each year, the President of the United States and Members of Congress join other government officials, leaders throughout the United States, the diplomatic community, and friends from more than 140 countries to share in the spirit of friendship through prayers and thanksgiving. Since 2003, Dr. Iravani has been invited to this very important gathering and has been engaged actively.

CSIME’S MISSION

CSIME IS A 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED IN 2010 TO CULTIVATE PEACE BY BRINGING TOGETHER PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT FAITHS, CULTURES AND BACKGROUNDS. IT STRIVES TO FAMILIARIZE THE MIDDLE EAST WITH THE WEST AND VICE VERSA, AND MINIMIZE MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND MISCONCEPTIONS THROUGH THE FOLLOWING METHODS:

DIALOGUE

Promoting inter-religious dialogue amongst religious communities form around the world and intra-religious dialogue amongst Muslims.

EDUCATION

Educating members of governmental institutions, domestically and abroad, about Islam and facilitating interdisciplinary studies in the Middle East and in the United States.

ACTIVITIES

Providing a wide variety of programs ranging from religion and language classes, conferences to prison outreach in order to promote better knowledge.
