Shoja Ahmadvand

Dr. Shoja Ahmadvand is a researcher and Associate Professor of Department of Political Sciences at Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, Iran and a visiting research scholar of the Catholic University of America (2016-2017). He is a senior advisor to the CSIME regarding Iran’s scientific, academic and cultural issues.

Besides different academic activities such as writing and translating numerous books from English to Persian and publishing more than 40 articles in scientific quarterlies and attending in international seminars, he has academic executive Experiences such as Vice-President for Research of  Allameh Tabatab’i University (2013- sep.2016); Head of Center for Regional Studies   (2004-2007); Vice-Dean for Education and Postgraduates, Faculty of Law & Political Sciences, Allameh Tabatab’i University (2007-2009); Vice-Dean for Research, Faculty of Law & Political Sciences, Allameh Tabatab’i University (2009-2011); Head of Center for International Academic Cooperation, Allameh Tabatab’i University (2011-2012);

He served also as Chairman of National Conference, Ideationalism in Political Sciences & International Relations, Allameh Tabatab’i University & Foreign Minister of the I.R. I., November 29,  2011, Tehran; Chairman of National Conference, Bahrain Crisis, Allameh Tabatab’i University & Foreign Minister of the I.R. I. and the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations, April 16, 2012, Tehran. ; Chairman of National Conference, Pathology of the lifestyle in the Contemporary Iran, Allameh Tabatab’i University, March 5, 2013; Chairman of International Conference, International System, Regional Changes and I.R.I. He is A Member of Iranian Political Science Association (2008-now) and he is Editor-in-chief, The State Studies Quarterly, Academic Research Journal of ATU Faculty of Law & Political Sciences, Allameh Tabataba’i University.
